ATTESTATION OF SIGNATURE

Attestation of signature by a notary, in accordance with art. 96 of the Law on notaries, concerns only attestation of the signature. Signatures on the documents are subscribed in the presence of a notary. If the signature on the attested document has not been subscribed in the presence of a notary, person who subscribed the signature may declare before the notary that said signature was subscribed by him/her personally.

In order to attest the signature a person whose signature is to be attested should be present. Such person should appear in person with an identification document (ID card, passport or residence permit) and a document which he/she intends to sign.

CONFORMITY OF AN OFFICIAL COPY OR AN EXCERPT WITH A PRESENTED DOCUMENT

In order to draw up an official copy of/excerpt from a document, notary should be provided with the original document, and the person presenting the document should appear in the Office in person with his/her identification document (ID card, passport or residence permit).

DATE OF PRESENTATION OF A DOCUMENT (ASCERTAINED DATE)

In order to subscribe an ascertained date to the document, the notary needs to be provided with the original document, and a person providing such document should appear in the Office with his/her identification document (ID card, passport or residence permit).
